Top 10 ingredients for Baby Skin

Beyond softness, a baby’s skin is fragile, somewhat dry, and more susceptible to infection than ours—it is an organ being exposed to the world for the first time, after all. Adult skin & baby skincare are different in terms of structure, function, and composition.

A baby’s skin is incredibly sensitive and delicate and does not function as a normal barrier like adult skin does. Infant skin is still in the development stage in the initial few years of life hence it is important that skincare products used on baby skin are formulated appropriately keeping in mind that the products do not disturb the skin surface pH.

Though babies are restricted to bed, it is important to use a mild cleanser to clean saliva, nasal secretion, urine, feces, dirt, etc. as exposure to such dirt can lead to irritation, rash and disrupt the overall skin functioning. After cleansing it is important to moisturize the skin with a natural emollient like plant-derived cold-pressed oils/vegetable oils.
